My cat dreams
of open fields
of jungle leaves
and things that squeal

My cat dreams
of seas of milk
of shredding silk
with claws of steel

My cat dreams
of living string
and other things
with cat-appeal

My cat dreams
he's following
and swallowing
the cockatiel

My cat dreams
the dog next door
has caught its paw
in a water wheel

My cat dreams
he picks me up
and chucks me out
and eats my meal
